Vision Statement
The United Way of Southwest Missouri & Southeast Kansas will be the region's recognized leader in human care fund raising and in identifying and seeking solutions to meet the human service needs of the area. We will be the most effective distributor of resources and a customer (contributor, agency, recipient and volunteer) driven United Way.

Mission Statement
The mission of the United Way of Southwest Missouri & Southeast Kansas is to provide the voluntary leadership to identify the human service needs of the community and coordinate the delivery of available resources to meet those needs.

We will care for one another through:

• Providing leadership to identify and solve community problems.
• Developing and allocating resources to meet community human service needs.
• Providing assistance to strengthen the health and human service delivery system.
• Enhancing  communications to foster meaningful involvement with donors, agencies and volunteers.
